Academic personal and Institution working in the field of Biotechnology are eligible for taking membership of NBA.
Types of members
A. General Member:
Nepalese citizen with B.Sc. Biotechnology degree or M.Sc. degree with research experience in the field of Biotechnology can be the general member of NBA. The qualified person can apply for General membership filling the official application form with application charge Rs 50 and annual membership charge Rs 300. The Executive committee is responsible to grant general membership. B.Life member:
Nepalese citizen with M.Sc./B.Sc. Biotechnology degree or M.Sc. degree with research experience in the field of Biotechnolgy can be the life member of NBA. The qualified person can apply for life membership filling the official application form with life membership charge Rs 3000. The Executive committee is responsible to grant general membership.

C. Institutional member:
Nepalese Research and commercial institutions working in the field of Biotechnology can apply for membership. The Executive committee will decide about the institutional membership.
D. Honorary member:
International and national dignitaries who contributed significantly in the field of biotechnology will be offered Honorary membership of NBA. The decision will be taken by the executive committee.
